Feed the soil

Yes, its the soil that feeds your plants. So, feed the soil.

Amateurs, don't go for chemical fertilizers. You might destroy the plant, as I have.

What do you do with vegetable waste? Soaked and used tea leaves? Banana peels? Through them in a shallow hole in the garden. Turn them once a week. If possible, add some grass or hay clippings. Instead of a hole, you can use a wooden carton box: like the ones used for carrying fruits.
It's better if you chop the matters before throwing in.

Think you are cooking some nutritious food for the soil.

Yes, turn them once in a while. Keep them moist.

Continue for couple of months. It will be ready to use. Just add it to your plants.

Empty and reuse the box or take another box.

It's fun.

Compost the most

When you sow seeds or even sapling, mix a generous amount of compost with the soil.

All you need is seed

That has to be a good seed.
No need of a full grown plant or even a sapling.

Take a shot at the pot : Container

No need to go to the garden and toil out with the soil. Take a pot or any container with a hole below it. (water drainage). Fill up with a handful of soil, with generous amount of compost. Plant a seedling or a seed or two. Water lightly twice a day. Keep it in the sun. Watch the fun.

Personal Gardening

How about some real gardening? Vegetables, Flowers, Fruits....as arranged in the order of increasing complexity.

So, for the novice (like me), first attempt vegetables. There is another selfish reason, you can eat it too :-) Nothing like fresh vegetable from your backyard.
